We require this now because too many adopters say they know how to train their dog and then we get an email or call asking us to take the dog back because he/she has done something wrong. So with that in mind we have partnered with Dog Whisperer Vern Taylor and have made training a requirement with all adoptions. She will come to your home and give you a discount to help you train your new furry friend.

When adopting a rescued pet it is very important for the dog to maintain a healthy socialized lifestyle so that this can be their forever home and they not have to be returned to the rescue. We have limited space, and don't always have room for dogs that might have upset the adopter and they choose to give the dog back. So this is now a mandatory requirement.
